My mom came home yesterday. As a result of the strokes, she is now bedridden. No speech.
Our main means of communication is that she can still use her keft hand to squeeze my hand or bike horn for yes and let go of my hand for no.
I'm grateful bc she made it through the night and shes presently snoring like a bear, comfortably in her own bedroom.

Clients become friends and after a while they become family.
I'm often accused of being a robot. That used to be an emotional trigger. But now I accept...I'm a who I am.
Some will gravitate and others will fade away. I don't spend a lot of time in the gray area. Serve me data and I will figure out how to get it into a spread sheet and wrap it around some formulas and scripts to get me the zeros and ones I want.

To a layman, you are correct. But for someone who understands how transferring risk can benefit an estate, it's actually a pretty useful allocation. Implemented properly and at the right time of course.
Cost of life insurance is entirely dependent on health and age.
Not suggesting you are over 50, but If you're over 50, it's better to stack sats and make sure your executor knows how to manage a self-custody multisig setup.

90% of the #BTC I custody is not for me. I was introduced to someone this morning who felt the same way about his stack.

But here we are end of the week and I have much to be thankful for. So not my best week, but WE all made it.
