To me this means I poke my nose in other people's conversation, more then I mind my own binness. lol

One of the big advantages we have as free thinking Americans is that we can innovate, deploy and integrate technology at speeds our Gov'ment beaurocratic machine cannot keep up with.

I think for some it's just a lazy man's version of an occupy wall street protest. I hope, and not actual savings or retirement accounts.

But these days...who knows.

My aunt (same age as mom but in slightly better shape) has decided to come stay with mom for a few weeks against her husband's wishes.

Half of her kids are like yes, pops not needed for this one, we'll handle the arrangements. The other half are like, too risky for their mom to travel.

Me: staying out of it. If she shows up....great. if she doesn't....I get that too.

Either way, not answering any of those calls.

The thought that Mom causing divorces and breaking up homes at her age makes me ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜….

She's laughing at the situation bc she's a bit of a rebel too.

On your first point I ๐Ÿ’ฏ agree. And in retrospect my parents had many. But I'm certain mini me will think the same of me and her mom.

On your second point, "we" (my sisters & I) are doing a good job. If I were a single child (either of my sisters) were the only child, things would have been much more difficult. We all bring different talents to the table on this one and I for one am glad we do. Even though those differences are often the source of our frustrations with each other. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

My mother sacrificed her health to make sure my sisters and I had what we needed to thrive.

One sister is a pretty bad @$$ chess player.

The other can read people and their actions pretty well.

And me?! still trying to figure me out. But my sisters trust me. And we're making do with what we have and I think we're doing OK.

The Alzheimer's episode are more frequent with mom. Combined with damage in the left frontal lobe from the strokes, makes it hard sometimes. But Mom is happy, knows that she is loved even when she's cursing me out bc I don't know what she's trying to tell me. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

And that's the message I conveyed to our text thread tonight.

It's a fracking adventure if you choose to see it that way.

Best part of my day is usually the end, where I get to cross off the items on the day's to do list that got done and get to write the next day's to do list.

Have a plan or be a part of someone else's plan.

Not wrong or right, just my philosophy.

Where there are humans, there will always be feuds.

Control the feuds, control human behavior.

I visited a ranch today in a state I would not want live in. But I might think about it if I could get that Ranch.
