Computer user. I'm telling you now, this account really isn't active or up to date anymore, don't follow.

What's wrong with Fedora now? The only thing "wrong" I actually heard about them was the package manager, a minor gripe overall.

It's very possible I'll end up dual booting Windows 7 and MX Linux on that netbook if I feel the need to run startlingly modern applications on there, like maybe Logseq...

Fucking finally, the Bring Me the Horizon album that was announced last year and was set to release in Christmas of this year finally released.

I feel like I have enough spite to take my Pleroma instance back up, gonna disable most if not all relays though.

Voice typing What the fuck that's not what I meant Okay so voice access is fun It's fun emojis Stop typing Emoji

I've genuinely sparked an argument once by implying the Touhou Community was less insane than the Ultrakill one.

I generally don't care that a program is proprietary, so long as I can actually use it and that it doesn't have glaring morality problems. If it does, or if it's paid/a FOSS alternative outpaces it, then sure.

The GamersNexus video exposes LTT's lack of accuracy and transparency, not to mention ethicality as a consequence of the aforementioned, which would be fine had it not been for LMG's goal and (misleading?) marketing to strive on accuracy and refuse to rectify their mistakes appropriately, even if their costs are utterly meaningless to the corporation that they are, not to mention their influence upon millions that now must put into question their reasoning behind everything (had they only trusted LTT's words). These issues have been happening even prior to their CEO changes and are obviously not helped by their self imposed expectations that clearly cannot be met. And I am omitting several factors here.

Even looking at it constructively, this is backed by facts and should obviously warrant a "we apologize, we need to fix certain things" response from LMG, which to their credit (?), they are admitting but, as of right now, that is only backed by words from paid employees in a YouTube video (that I feel is absolutely scripted , and as such I am questioning the sincerity of such) and are not yet proven with facts, however it may be too early to judge with such facts for now. (Side note, LMG, please take yourselves seriously, for fuck's sake.)

So far it seems they are only going through the criticism that has been pointed out by GamersNexus which is a start, but it proves that further errors that they've made are either unnoticed (by the professional company that they are) or have no care put behind them to correct those (refusing to make for a better service by correcting what is wrong). But you can pay them 10 dollars a month to see what they're "doing" via Floatplane, never mind that's also filmed and could be scripted, much like their "apology". Watching along the video I'm noticing nothing rectifying those mistakes, only that they acknowledge the issue and "pinky promise" to fix those issues "we swear, trust me bro", sprinkled with very fucking irrelevant and insulting self promo proving that they, uh, don't really prove to care about this whole situation.

All in all, we will definitely need to wait for them to properly roll out their fixes. As it is, it's all talk, and I'm tired.

I don't know what it is but I find the thought of Tauon Music Box flawlessly streaming from my home Jellyfin server on an Inspiron computer running Windows 7 from 2007 to be a humongous funny one.

I think the best advice about CD collecting that I can give is, buy spare empty jewel cases. That way you can basically buy used copies of CDs that are in shoddy condition for cheap, and just replace the damaged case and have a perfectly fine CD case, assuming the CD tray itself isn't broken and all the artwork is intact or in decent condition.

(doesn't apply to Digipaks or Gatesfold/cardboard sleeves, obviously)

in all seriousness I am going to upgrade this ancient machine to Windows 7 but I did clone the Vista install because, well, it fits the machine's era and honestly, works fine for me, albeit somewhat slow and impractical at times.

I agree, nowadays there's little reason to use Vista over XP or 7 though. It is fun though.

HP Mini netbook updating Windows 7.

I feel I'm reaching the end. The excessively minimal and slow hardware is doing it no favors, I'm certain, but it's been able to do the majority of all updates yesterday, and now I'm waiting on a select few to install properly (likely from the ESU program).

I'm nearly done updating 7 to the true latest, with updates that literally released this year.

nostr:npub1ldln4eqwfawxlzmtr94fpuhahm3d0n8te78xgpfzddhc5dcek6zq4tkxjp I think Dookie has more hits and gets more casual plays but I think American Idiot is played more as an album. Personally Nimrod is my favorite with Dookie second. This is also me realizing my obsession with them as a child never led me to listen to Insomniac....

nostr:npub145tzfywznjgvqpl87fsc62j9w08n7lm3gfkl2lr9rjnmnq287lssgcw5cc I dunno, I didn't like Insomniac. Felt like a bunch of samey punk tracks all put together in a 30-40 minute romp.
