Given what’s going on with #Bitcoin privacy, this is definitely an article worth re-reading and sharing. Stay humble and stack sats 🫡 nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx

“Bitcoin is text. Bitcoin is speech. It cannot be regulated in a free country like the USA with guaranteed inalienable rights and a First Amendment that explicitly excludes the act of publishing from government oversight.”

“Bitcoin and PGP generate messages that are initiated by their users. Each of the messages that are generated by these two pieces of software are unique. The only bodies of law that could possibly be invoked regarding their output and source code are Copyright and Patent law respectively. The Bitcoin source is not copyrighted and the core idea of it is not Patented, and in any case, none of this has anything to do with the nature of Bitcoin messages, or your right to publish. Typewriters can include Patented methods in their construction, and those Patents have no bearing on your First Amendment right to publish what you create with a Patented tool.”

Still Up on Apple TV+ is such an amazing show. Definitely worth your time.

It’s tough. We see what’s going on but the average person is just thinking about how they’re gonna get through the month and pay their bills. It’s hard to wrap their heads around what 33 Trillion dollars of debt even means. But I do feel like more people are aware that inflation is a problem. They’re just not clear that there’s a fix. #bitcoin

The way you change things:

I heard someone paraphrase this quote from from Economist Milton Friedman, which stood out to me so much I wanted to share with you:

“The way you change things is not by putting the right people into office. The way that you really change things is by creating a climate of public opinion where it becomes politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.”

Actual Quote:

“They think the way you solve things is by electing the right people. It’s nice to elect the right people but that’s not the way you solve things. The way you solve things is by making it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.”

Peace and Love ✌🏾❤️

Boom. My new book, Broken Money, is now available on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CG83QBJ6

I will formally announce it later today, so I guess this is the initial Nostr exclusive. It’s not even searchable on Amazon yet since it is still being incorporated into their wider database. But if you have that link, it is ready for purchase.

The ebook, audiobook, and other print distribution partners will be rolled out over time.

Thank you everyone for your support! This has been a wonderful project to work on, and it will hopefully educate more people about the current problems in the global monetary system and the solutions that Bitcoin has to offer people around the world.

So exciting! I’m a major kindle reader as I save my highlights digitally to re-read so I’m really looking forward to the ebook release. Congrats!

How you feeling about AI?

I’m always working on looking at things from a glass half full perspective. I’ve tried ChatGPT here and there and I’ve found it to be pretty useful, which ultimately is the point of any new technology right? To make our lives better.

You know what wasn’t around when I was 13 years old doing research reports?

Google!

I remember using dusty ass encyclopedias from my Grandma’s basement to get my work done and staying in the library the night before an assignment was due… ahhh the good ole days!

To think that I could just type a few words into a search bar and get an answer was beyond the scope of my imagination at that point in time.

Ultimately, I’m not against AI because it’s inevitable, either we embrace the technology or get left behind. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe most people are typing a few words into a search bar to get answers to their questions, while going through physical encyclopedias a bit less…. and you know what, that’s OK, because technology is supposed to make our lives better.

Anyone that refused to do a Google search and stick with encyclopedias ultimately made their lives harder and for what? Life is complicated enough, lets do what we can to make our lives and the future lives of our children, a little bit easier if we can.

There will be positive uses for AI and there will be negative, as with any technology it will be the people who create it and how we use it that will ultimately determine its and our fate.
