We are up to 37 surveys completed from Bitcoin Circular Economies and 105 surveys from Bitcoin Merchants. Excited to present this data at Adopting Bitcoin El Salvador and share it with the community. Thank you to everyone that has participated!

I really relate to nostr:npub1dmcd5wqd3yku05svp6xqk5gyywek4cgg0w3dk63tcu0rmjxnanns5xutjm in my upbringing as it relates to our age, hating school, and the constant need to challenge authority within the structures of system forced upon us, while also staying true to family and friends. Great podcast yesterday!

We are up to 25 surveys completed for my Adopting Bitcoin presentation! Thank you to anyone who has assisted.

The survey can be found here, if you know a merchant accepting Bitcoin, please share: surveymonkey.com/r/8YG5GSQ

Very excited to announce that I will be speaking at Adopting Bitcoin 2024 in San Salvador on the topic ‘Managing Bitcoin Circular Economies Remotely’

LETS GO ☠️🏴‍☠️

nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle you mentioned barter but didn’t really highlight the fact that Bitcoin is just a globally decentralized ledger and that ledgers and barter both pre-date gold as money. What are your thoughts on the argument that we are just documenting who owns what portion of the 21M and when we’re “transacting” we are actually just signing over our portion of that ownership to another owner?

Is flokstr open source? I’ve heard some concerns about the future risk of sharing my nsec with a private company.

I don’t think Bitcoiners highlight enough that what pre-dates gold is a ledger based monetary system.

Don’t think Nostr is integrated and it’s a fee upfront for service so getting a wide swath of users exposed to the event is difficult

Peter Schiff misses 3 things because of personal bias:

1) He won’t acknowledge that before gold, in a barter system, money was just a ledger of whom owed what to whom. Gold has fungible and portable monetary properties that allowed owners to possess and move it, but that has been co-opted by governments and central banks.

2) He agrees that software provides subjective utility value to people but won’t acknowledge that uncensorable cross border payments provides value

3) He claims that Bitcoin is not widely used as a medium of exchange, yet won’t acknowledge countries like El Salvador that have made it legal tender or merchants in circular economies accepting Bitcoin as valid

It’s easy to tell that Peter Schiff has done a little bit of homework on Bitcoin but his arguments fall flat because he hasn’t done the work on the pre-gold history of money or critically thought about Bitcoin as a global uncensorable ledger

Yo nostr:npub1773r2y5zl3sa7xufmye96un3hf02rse8j82hkd45ps0wvk2hrkasslesjt! You know any developers interested in partnering on a Bitcoin company that would compete with Uber / Lyft by integrating Lightning, streaming sats, boosts, and splits (similar to Fountain). I am thinking we would launch at nostr:npub1xxcyzef28e5qcjncwmn6z2nmwaezs2apxc2v2f7unnvxw3r5edfsactfly and El Salvador to start.

nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx nostr:npub1theparkprcs70dcs437ke9zzwsr6u60f8flu7rg28m30438aep9sd94dha is there a Nostr equivalent of Meetup that’s worth attention yet? When do we leave the legacy systems in regard to Bitcoin Meetups?

I’ll be visiting Bitcoin Park the last week of October and am hoping there’s an event that week 🫡
