It’s primarily an argument for deregulating housing construction. This includes reducing zoning requirements and essentially removing building codes and allowing builder’s reputation and certification to stand in for government-imposed regulations.
He also says property owners should have greater freedom to develop their land, which he thinks would ultimately increase housing supply and reduce the cost of housing.
Anyone out there that has read this book? I heard an entertaining interviewer with the author and I both vehemently agree and disagree with his take on things. Not sure if I want to actually buy the book yet.
