Longer hair than you. Got the ⏻ symbol into #Unicode. Open Standards / Source / Data geek. Known as @Edent on most social platforms. Bit obsessed with #SolarPower but not quite a #SolarPunk. Please read the link before replying. Yes, that means you!

I had a little snooze halfway through Asteroid City. And that was definitely the best thing about the movie.

I used to regularly check in to vegetarian restaurants. They'd advertise steak clubs to me - because I was male.

Just so impressively wrong all the time.

I mostly get ads for SMEs with highly localised trade areas... from all over the UK. Especially Scotland. I don't think they can be allowing their customers to geotarget smaller areas than "this country" at all any more.

I don't really understand why anybody would still be paying for that bad a service but I guess people are locked in by the time they've invested in learning that particular ad ecosystem.

I still block them though.

For some reason, my ad blocker has decided not to work on Facebook any more.

So now I can see what Facebook is telling advertisers about me.

I am a woman, with a sense of fashion, who likes horses, needs empowerment, and wants to work in the prison service.

That's so impressively wrong that I wonder if I've somehow broken the algorithm.

🆕 blog! “Restaurant Review: Chef's Table at The Savoy”

My mate Greg, without meaning to, makes all other husbands look bad. It's not enough that he is a loving partner, devoted father, and pillar of the community. Oh no. He also has to go and make the most amazing reservations for wedding anniversaries. My wife, Liz, and I were running slightly late for our […]

Don't suppose you got a close up of the bench? We'd love it on https://openbenches.org/

The problem is, OpenWRT tells me I have devices connected to my network, what their MAC address is, and what the host name is.

But I've no bloody idea what they are! They (mostly) respond to pings. But it's a bunch of random ESP32s as far as I can tell…

Probably nothing to worry about, right?
