Is there any known research on blockchain verification on GPUs?
I know, there're a lot of variables to consider in this process: fast block-serving peers, db format, ssds, cpu etc. But assuming we got the perfect set, like syncing bitcoin blockchain over LAN, would a GPU based verification algo speed things up even more? Last time I synced over LAN I could certainly tell that my CPU peaked constantly.
