YHVH is called "the lord of hosts" for a reason -- and it's not hosting dinner parties.
The New Testament does smooth a lot of this out, though Jesus does say he comes not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it.
There's bloodthirsty sects under both umbrellas. Salafists, Templars -- turns out that giving humans a good book to read doesn't get rid of the fact that they're still humans. Don't forget, slavery in America's south was justified by many on religious grounds because blackness was seen as being the mark of Cain...
It's KYC and custodial. What more downsides do you need?
Some clients/DVM's have trending hashtags, but it's worth noting that Nostr's decentralized nature makes any statistics incomplete, because there's no way you're going to poll every relay out there, and they don't talk to each other.
Get 'em playing Go (aka weiqi or baduk). Idk about open source but there's a good few clients on the Play Store -- BadukPop is probably the most feature rich free one I've found.
Board games in general tend to be less prone to scamminess, though of course aren't completely immune.
Beyond that, maybe grab an emulator for 'em and some old roms. Some games don't fare so well without real buttons (which you can get controllers for) but games like Pokemon where it's not about reaction time work just fine on a touch screen interface.
Just saw this image of a ledger that is thousands of years old pop up on Hacker News. I assume we've all read Broken Money and The Bitcoin Standard by now, but it's always nice to see a visual to match the stories.
Also just cool from a data science perspective -- it's basically a spreadsheet or SQL table.
A little more Islam in Europe...not sure he meant it this way, but the "hey wait, they're actually just people after all" probably has woken up more than a few people who previously bought the bullshit. Seeing the divide between Islam as a whole and the CIA backed Salafist movement certainly has worked against the Zionist agenda as well. Perhaps chasing everyone from their homes in the name of imperialism wasn't such a good plan, at least from the perspective of those in the colonial outpost. That said, they seem to have learned the wrong lesson, which is that people shouldn't be allowed to leave alive, and instead be slaughtered in place.
The history books in 10-20 years will not remember Israel kindly.
Introducing: Aegis Relay
Incentiving Decentralization

Aegis Relay is a premium relay and blossom server in one that anyone can run to earn revenue for operating it.
By having significantly more blossom servers available, we will strengthen the network and ensure our file storage is more distributed.
Subscription payments are powered by the Bitvora lightning API, no code, no node management or KYC is required, you can be up and running in minutes.
Written in Go and powered by LMDB, it is the fastest subscription relay software in the ecosystem today and can run on just 1 core and 1 gig of ram.
To see it in action, you can subscribe to my relay here: https://aegis.utxo.one
To run your own relay and start earning, checkout the GitHub repo here: https://github.com/bitvora/aegis
Look forward to hearing your feedback! As is nostr tradition, this is early beta software so please report any bugs to me directly!
It pains me to see systemctl commands in the readme. Some of us still run Unix like systems.
The time of year when the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. Take the time to enjoy the presence of their ancestors when they are at their closest.
Might need to explain this fiat money thing to them; most of them wouldn't have encountered it, and it surely would be an abomination...
Nice reminder of why friends don't let friends use #Trezor : https://btcguide.github.io/known-issues/hardware/trezor
Using hardware that leaks your xpub is like using hardware that puts a camera in your bedroom that a third party has access too. Just don't (unless you're into that sort of thing).
If you DO have a Trezor and this is news to you, there is some good news, which is that you can re-initialize your Trezor using the steps found at the following link and avoid sharing your xpub with those perverts at Trezor. Might learn a thing or two about wallets and bitcoin in the process of going through these steps.

#GM plebs, happy winter solstice. If you haven't heard it yet, probably not the worst day to check out the latest album from #Wardruna.

It's a promise to cancel other liabilities in an equal amount to the denominated face value. Nothing further, yes, but that it functions at all has its root in its ability to make the men with guns leave you alone at tax time. The government agrees to accept these "leave me alone" tickets, and in exchange, the bank agrees to provide the government with them most any time it wants them to buy things.
It's just the grease in the kleptocracy machine.
Been looking into #miniscript a lot lately exploring different wallet script policies, particularly to find more about where the limits and capabilities of #Bitcoin's programmability are. Found this great masterclass video on YouTube from Lugano Plan B last year that is just too good not to share for anyone looking to find out more, especially as after a good amount of reading and interviews I've indulged in, this perhaps was the simplest explanation for someone who hasn't otherwise got experience developing in the Bitcoin space. Hope someone out there finds it useful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0wDQw6asiE
#GM fellow plebs. Enjoying the holiday sale. Getting curious and trying to game out the juxtaposition of surging #bitcoin and a potential large scale deleveraging in the #dollar system as the most telegraphed #recession in history may finally be making itself known.
Particularly of interest will be if Russia and some of the other PNG's of the dollar system capitalize on the rest of the world scrambling to cover their dollar liabilities by buying this and any other dips in bitcoin.
Breaking the historic correlation with other risk assets would be a pretty big step for bitcoin, and the fracturing of the #eurodollar system seems to make it eventually inevitable. The question is, now, or later?
Definitely not Saylor. He's a great memer and watching him troll the system is entertaining and all, but he's got some really bad takes on some pretty key things. Leverage? Self Custody? Cheers on helping NGU I suppose, and demonstrating a path to adoption, but it should encourage people to enter the ring with him, not into bed.
You mean in terms that can be afforded when you pledge your bitcoin as collateral and STILL don't sell.
They look like they're starting to think that even when it's in a three way, it may still actually be gay.
