Whew! Twelve miles, one coughing fit, three temples, two other runners (one with a hydration vest), great bird songs, a steep, long hill, six coconut curry sweets, a quart of chocolate milk, and a liter of water. A wonderful start to the day (coughing fit excepted!)

These west coast home prices have barely budged despite interest rates now north of 7%.

No surprise so many people are moving back to the Midwest and the South. I would too if it weren’t for already owning a house and my wife’s family living here.

Imagine being a young family and trying to pay $3.5k+ for housing before utilities, a couple thousand per month in daycare expenses, student loans, and a grocery bill easily over a thousand per month. Shit’s wild.

Grateful to have this Japanese bakery nearby. Treated ourselves to some donuts this morning.
