We have a lot of great shops here in the Portland region. This one specializes in old school acoustics despite all the electrics in my first photo.
I wanted to play a Gibson LG-2 (this one is from the 40s) because I found a cheap guitar a couple months ago modeled after this one dimensionally and I wanted to compare.

Next week marks the 20th anniversary of my father’s death. This is a weird one for me in so many ways, but what’s been coming up for me lately is that I’m about the same age he was when he killed himself in a drunk driving accident. This life has required far too much forgiveness.

I concluded a 7-month application and security clearance process today with a 2.5 hour interview with law enforcement, all for a new job. Only 3 more weeks until I find out if I passed and finally step into my new role within the same organization! 😂

Indeed, the band is from a couple hours north of here but Carrie might live here in Portland given the show, I’m not sure.
Today I played some higher end small body guitars trying to see what might sound similar to my Art & Lutherie $200 guitar, but honestly I was not impressed.
I came across a brand recently called Iris out of Vermont that I’d really like to get my hands on, but I haven’t found any locally.
