Can someone explain to me what the “Broadcast” functionality in Damus does?
#[0] Thanks for reposting my post. Just sent you 2300 sats in return
“Transformative Money - Why you’re not being paid enough and now is the time to change it”
I just published this on Substack. It is directed at everyone who has not yet been convinced of Bitcoin’s ability to transform their lives.
If you think that the approach I’m taking here is useful, I would really appreciate your likes, reposts and especially if you could forward this to family and friends who need Bitcoin but don’t know it yet.
Thank you to everyone here who has helped me shape this post. As I note at the bottom it’s not perfect but hopefully still resonates with a lot of no-coiners.

#[5] Can you help me with instructions for how to get this onto Habla.news?

Reading about the history and downfall of money (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_historical_currencies) in #[0]‘s 21 Lessons https://21lessons.com
💯 If you enjoyed #[1] ‘s excellent writing, I’m hoping you’ll enjoy my new post here as well. This is specifically for no-coiners to learn about Bitcoin’s potential to change their lives. If you know any such people, would really appreciate any reposts 😊
I gave not read it, but will check it out. Do you remember what technologies he uses as an example? Or is it more conceptual?
Completely agree. I just wrote this piece to convince no-coiners of the benefits of #Bitcoin and #nostr: https://soirbleu.substack.com/p/transformative-money
I think that’s the work we need to continue to do until we have generated greater network effects. Would appreciate any feedback or reposts.

Agree! What’s the smartest and most systematic path for developers to be paid appropriately?
Yeah. My Fiat brain is then concerned that we get back to a model where you van essentially pay for engagement, i.e. attention economy.
But maybe that’s not the case in this new paradigm. I wonder if it would play out differently.
Probably should be up to the author to decide on the barrier to entry. The equilibrium will likely look a little bit different for everyone.
WDYT?
I know this is not a new idea here.
However, I’m also not convinced comments should be ordered by amount zapped. My concern here is that we get back to an advertising model where people can simply pay for engagement. Curious about other people’s thoughts.
Some of the comments under the more frequented posts on nostr make me think that there should be a cost to commenting (in zaps).
This would significantly increase signal and decrease noise and would make it much easier to find the more interesting conversations that are going on.
“Awakening from the Meaning Crisis” - in many ways that’s what we’re all doing as we’re finding meaning in this incredible movement towards the liberation of money and speech.
It’s also the title of John Vervaeke’s incredible lecture series on Youtube, which I highly recommend for those uncovering more layers of the meaning onion. In many ways Vervaeke is a more profound and less annoying version of Jordan Peterson (and his colleague at University of Toronto).
His recent podcast with Tim Ferriss is a good intro to his work:
Are any Namibian Bitcoiners on #nostr?
