GM, GN, and GFY.

The antidote isn't the toxin.

Calling me a #Bitcoin Maxi as an insult isn't an own. All you're saying is that I'm someone with integrity and you aren't. I have no interest in the opinions of scumbags.

Aqua Wallet is pretty cool.

It should immediately prompt the user to backup their seed though. The user is already installing the wallet, it makes sense to have them backup as part of the install process. They could have the option of doing later with frequent reminders.

It would probably be even better to force acknowledgment of backup before funds can be received. Most people will need hand holding to grow adoption and prevent rugs and loss of funds.

I'm considering this too. WeChat of the west isn't offering a future I care for and Elon is clearly most interested in utilitarian philosophy. I don't trust him.

He's doing some cool things, but it's apparent that he'll bend to authoritarianism (he literally did with Turkey) if it's what's required to get his way (utilitarian).

He benefits from the status quo and I doubt he's going to resist in any meaningful way, especially as time goes on. His knees are for bending.

Nostr is a bizarre place... But I love it.

That's a handsome island.

A simple life rule:

Anyone who wants to disarm you shouldn't be trusted. They should be promptly ridiculed and defied.

This applies to Bitcoin, defensive tools, knowledge, etc.

A government of the People, for the People, by the People should be told how much it is allowed to spend. Currently, government tells us how much we're allowed to keep and spend (and taxes us on it perpetually through inflation and property taxes).

You're not a real man until you earn your brown belt. I'm sure he's earned several stripes on his. I have and I'm only 30 lol

Capitalism isn't failing. The absence of capitalism is failing. The U.S. came close to being Capitalist early on, but that quickly died away. Ayn Rand was right.

I wouldn't doubt that they could cause noise problems, but even if they did, it seems like there could be barrier solutions to reduce it. Either way, I'd rather sleep with a Bitcoin hum than a fiat shriek.

Discovering old films as a millennial is interesting. I'm familiar with a much less technical way of life and also a highly technical one. It's a weird split in identity that others have experienced before me. Horses to cars, letters to the telegraph, etc. (Fiat to #Bitcoin)

Calling Apple a walled garden is misleading. There are walls, but the walls have exit points that people are free to go through at any time.

Apple users place themselves into the "walled garden" and complain as if they didn't pay Apple for exactly what Apple is giving them.

You chose Apple. You knew the rules of the game and still decided to play anyway. You incentivize Apple's piss poor attitude toward freedom. Stop complaining if you're just going to keep buying it.

Phoenix is great, but it took me some time to figure out liquidity. I'm probably in the top 5% of humans technically though, so I think you may be right. Most people will not get Phoenix. The question is whether they will purchase liquidity without understanding why they need to at a technical level (assuming Phoenix implemented a walk through guide for setup). Probably not when there are custodial options that can handle all of that for them. I think the whole point of all of this is to give people the option of self-custody. Some people can't accept that most humans will simply not do the work to be free. At least those who put in the proof-of-work will have a chance.
