Why do we need access to high capacity magazines? Why have the firearm loaded and ready to use at a moment's notice?
Here is one reason to have high capacity magazines and a loaded ready to use weapon. Multiple assailants entering your home.
What else to learn?
1) Harden your points of entry.
2) Don't pursue to assailants once they leave your residence.
3) Don't backlight yourself.
4) Have the firearm within reach, loaded, and ready to use.

Can't call their real phone number? Seems like there should be a way. VOIP? Kinda of defeats the purpose of having a phone if you can't call people.

The Church of Unified Faiths
is worth looking into is you are a person of faith and believe in personal freedom & sovereignty.
Here is the FAQ pulled from the site:
_______
FAQ
Q – Is this a real church, a real faith?
A – Yes it is, we are bound by 12 declarations as to how we treat others. A set of ethics that most humans find to be virtuous. It is our hope we can create better relations between all people regardless of their views on God.
Q – Can I join the Church, what do I have to do?
A – All members must declare they believe in and will try to practice the 12 declarations, nothing more. To join the site though and meet and interact with other members you will need an invitation. If you don’t currently know a member we will be creating a program to get introduced soon.
Q – When you say “United Faiths” what does that mean?
A – Our declarations of individual sovereignty and how others are treated are centered on the fact that we are all sovereign over our own lives, bodies, possessions and voluntary relationships by our very creation. We collectively refer to that creation and the force behind it as God. Our highest value is individual freedom, each member has the freedom to define God for him or herself. To the atheist God in our Church is the natural process of evolution, to the Deist God is the intelligence behind that process. To a Christian God is the God of the bible and Christ his son and the Holy Spirt. We are honestly a church anyone can join, so long as they respect to the rights of others to believe as they see fit.
Q – So if you don’t have a specific view of God, what is the point?
A – How we treat each other as human beings. We have accepted that different people will always view God differently. Some even say there is no God but even those people understand humans have inherent rights. The right to be free, the right to associate freely with others and the right to live spiritually as they choose as long as they don’t harm others.
Q – Who is in charge of this religion?
A – No one and everyone at the same time. Every one that joins by their own free will is a member, a founder and a minister. We all minister to one another and help each other as we feel we can best do. There is no hierarchy, no series of levels to attain.

PSA: Just to clear up some confusion,
There is a term used in the online community that some people don't understand.
"THE CLOUD"
Some people think that this is a location on their device (phone, tablet, computer, etc...) or some magical thing that nobody else has access to. Neither of these ideas are true and believing that they are can lead to a false sense of security for the end user.
If you store data on a cloud, then all that means is you store it remotely on a different hard drive on a computer in a different place than where you currently are.
Here is the security issue. Most people rely on an outside company to provide and maintain that storage. That means they provide the hardware, the software on it, the security for it, and the connection of it to the internet. If they fail to do any of these things correctly, whether through negligence or malicious intent, then your data can be unavailable, lost, compromised, changed, sold, etc. If that company does everything right but goes out of business, gets sold to a different company, gets hacked, etc. the same things can happen.
There is a saying in the cryptocurrency community, "No Keys, No Coins." What this means is that if someone else controls your access to what is yours, then it is not really yours. Whoever controls access can take your data, change it, or at the very least deny you access to it. Think back to the early days of cellphones. Any photos you took with them stayed on the phone and were lost if you lost the phone.
There are ways to host your own cloud services on your own remote computer if this is a concern for you (and it should be).
Remember what happened to Parler?
They were denied access to the internet for political reasons. People are de-platformed all the time from youtube, twitter (X), instagram, facebook etc. many times losing years of content in the process with no recourse to reaquire it. They also lose contact with eveyone they formerly contacted through that platform.
3 takeaways for this:
Control your Data/Keys
Back-Up Your Data
Back-Up Your Contacts.

The passion of youth is a powerful thing.
Everyone comes to Christ at different times and circumstances in their lives. I grew up in the church so my experience may be different from yours. I have seen the mountaintop highs, the deep valley lows, and everything in between. I have had friends come to Christ in their youth and now I have made new friends in my adult life. I have seen many things, but one thing that stands out in the midst of it all is the passion of youth.
If you have never witnessed this in person, then I encourage you to go to the youth service at your church for a while. Get to know the younger members of the church and be known by them. You will be blown away. As an adult, we tend to be more reserved and cautious. We have learned and been burned by many experiences along the way, but it is different for our youth. When they truly give themselves to God it is a thing of beauty. The depth of joy when they finally make that commitment, the heart felt praise during worship, the complete whole hearted devotion is unmistakable and inspiring.
How many adults do you see spontaneously get down on their knees during a worship service? How often do you see unabashed emotion on those around you? How often do you see people who are unreserved in their expression of devotion to God?
I remember being that youth. I remember how it felt.
I wish everyone always had that passion.
I wish I always had that passion.
It is powerful.
It is God moving...
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!

MY EXCLAMATION POINTS!
My life has been defined by 9 significant moments so far. These moments, like exclamation points, show what is important to me. They explain why I am who I am. They tell a story that is worth remembering. They give meaning to an otherwise meaningless life.
I gave my life to Jesus and was baptized while I was in elementary school !
I spent 3 summers involved in teaching at vacation Bible school !
I spent 2 years as an adult leader for the youth at my home church !
I fell in love with my wife then asked her to marry me ! (She said yes)
I proclaimed my love for and commitment to her in front of the whole world; ‘till death do us part !
Our son was born !
Our Daughter was born !
I baptized my son! Wow !
I baptized my Daughter ! Double Wow !!
All the rest of my life has meaning, yes, but it all led up to this. I followed where I thought I felt God leading. There was a reason for all the things that happened, even though I didn’t always understand at the time. I am not perfect. I make mistakes. I let people down. I let myself down. I let God down more often than I want to admit. But here is the beautiful part about all of it.
God loves me just as I am. He uses my weakness to show his strength. He forgives me even though I don’t deserve it; could never deserve it. His grace covers my shame and sin. When He sees me He doesn’t see a broken, worthless, sinner. He sees His son. I am His and that makes life worth living. My parents raised me to know the Lord. Now, my children have the same hope, the same promise. I hope they will pass on this legacy to their children as well.
What comes next? What does God have in store? I don’t know but I am excited to find out…
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!

Freedom of Speech is meaningless if you only protect the speech you like and agree with. No person should be jailed or penalized for speaking truth.
Journalists and publishers have legal protections for this very reason.
A nation has no authority over a non-citizen located outside it's own borders. The laws of a nation only apply within it's own borders or outside its borders for it's own citizens in some cases.
This particular case is cut and dry. The US government has overstepped.
And yes I picked a big interest story to make a point...
are you kidding. This country will even try to arrest non-citizens located in other countries for saying things the government doesn't like.

The Prodigal Son
11 And He said, “A man had two sons. 12 The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them. 13 And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living. 14 Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him. 17 But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! 18 ‘I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.” ’ 20 “So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; 23 and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; 24 for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.
25 “Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28 But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him. 29 But he answered and said to his father, ‘Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; 30 but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’ ” Luke 15:11-32 NASB
______
Asking for his inheritance early in that culture was the equivalent of saying “I wish you were dead so I could have your money”
He left and moved very far away. He wasted all the wealth that his father had given him on wild extravagant living. He was broke, with none of the “friends” he made while wealthy willing to do anything for him. He was at the lowest point of his life. He was so desperate that he agreed to look after and feed pigs. He was so hungry that he wanted to eat the food that he was feeding to the pigs.
To the listeners this would have been a very big deal.
1. He disrespected his father.
2. He abandoned his own people/culture.
3. He wasted his wealth.
4. He was caring for unclean animals and thus was religiously unclean himself.
He was as low as he could be Financially, Culturally, and Spiritually.
He finally decides that he should go back home and beg his father to take him back in as a hired man because, even they had it better than him.
When he finally arrives back home,
1. His father sees him from a long way off and runs out to meet him. This is culturally significant because it was undignified to hurry anywhere and unheard of for man of his position to run anywhere.
2. The father has the best robe in the home put on his son. This would have been the father’s own robe and an outward sign of the son’s acceptance back into the family.
3. The father has a ring put on his son’s hand. This would likely have been a signet ring proclaiming his authority within the household.
4. The father threw a big party to celebrate his return.
The father was happy to see his son. In that moment, it was not about where he had gone, what he had done, or his condition when he showed up. His father was just glad he came home.
When the older son came back in from the fields that day he saw everything that was going on and he was angry.
In that moment, the things that mattered to the older son were the exact opposite of what the father cared about. What the younger son had done and said, the shame he had brought upon the family within the community, and his unclean life all made the younger son an outsider to his brother. These things made him unworthy to be a part of the family anymore. It was too much. This was no brother of his.
The father went out to the returning younger son and took him back into the house.
When the father went out to the returning older son and begged him (another undignified thing for him to do), the older son refused to come back into the house.
At the beginning of the story there were 2 sons: the older and the younger.
At the end of the story there were again 2 sons: The prodigal then returned younger son and the lost and angry older son.
Who was the target audience for this parable? Who was he speaking to?
Everyone would have seen that Jesus was comparing the older son to the Pharisees and religious leaders of the day. But who was he comparing to the younger son?
1 Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him. 2 Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.” Luke 15:1-2 NASB
Where do you fit into this crowd? Are you a sinner? You are the one who decides whether you are the older or the younger son. Will you accept that you need forgiveness and return to a loving father? Or will you look from the outside judging those who Christ has already forgiven?
More than that, Will you be like the father to those around you. Will you welcome them back into God’s forgiveness instead of standing in judgment over them? Will you plead with them to return to the house of God when anger overcomes them? Will you celebrate their return when they have brought shame and disgrace upon themselves and those around them? Will you show them the same grace that our Savior has shown you? Will you?
There is nothing that you have done that would stop you from being forgiven if you ask. There is nothing that you have done that will make God stop loving you. You are not beyond the ability or desire of God to forgive you.
You are loved.
You are valued.
You have a home to return to.
Come home...

Love of a Father
I could run a thousand miles to win the race of life, but what's the value?
Without You?
I could write a thousand psalms to captivate Your heart but more than offerings
Lord, You seek the depths of me
When You see me, You see my heart
Through the eyes of Your mercy in the light of Your Son
You love me with open arms
And the pride of a Father
I was once a prodigal, burdened by my shame 'til You came running
To remind me
Your love is unconditional and in Your eyes I'm worthy of forgiveness
Oh! What was lost is now redeemed
When You see me, You see my heart
Through the eyes of Your mercy in the light of Your Son
You love me with open arms
And the pride of a Father
Oh! I know You love me
I know You love me, whoa
You never leave me, You never leave me
By my side, yeah, by my side, yeah
Who am I that You love me?
Who am I that You saved my soul?
Who am I without You, Lord?
Who am I to be worthy?
Who am I that You're mindful of me?
Who am I that You called me yours?
Who am I that You love me?
Who am I that You saved my soul?
Who am I without You, Lord?
And who am I to be worthy?
Who am I that You're mindful of me?
Who am I that You called me yours? (Oh-oh-oh-oh)
Who am I that You love me?
Who am I that You saved my soul?
Who am I without You, Lord?
And who am I to be worthy?
Who am I that You're mindful of me?
Who am I that You called me yours?
When You see me, You see my heart
Through the eyes of Your mercy in the light of Your Son
You love me with open arms
And the pride of a Father
When You see me, You see my heart
Through the eyes of Your mercy in the light of Your Son
You love me with open arms
And the pride of a Father
I know You love me
With the pride of a Father

"The strongest bulwark of authority is uniformity; the least divergence from it is the greatest crime. The wholesale mechanisation of modern life has increased uniformity a thousandfold. It is everywhere present, in habits, tastes, dress, thoughts and ideas. Its most concentrated dullness is "public opinion." Few have the courage to stand out against it. He who refuses to submit is at once labelled "queer," "different," and decried as a disturbing element in the comfortable stagnancy of modern life."

What is your opinion of Vivek Ramaswamy?
I like a lot of what he says. If I had to choose a person to back for POTUS I think you could do a lot worse.
______
And for those of you who would cite his ties to the WEF:
"GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy announced Tuesday that he has received an apology letter from the World Economic Forum (WEF) and an agreement that the organization will pay an undisclosed settlement as a result of listing him without permission on its list of Young Global Leaders in 2021.
I've been the leading opponent in America of the World Economic Forum's agenda, through two books & my most recent company Strive which finally put BlackRock & the ESG movement on their back foot. Two years ago, WEF tried to throw false bait by naming me a “Young Global Leader”… pic.twitter.com/wRVhLc3x9B
— Vivek Ramaswamy (@VivekGRamaswamy) August 1, 2023
Ramaswamy sued the WEF earlier this year after the organization “refused to completely remove his name and photo from their website” after he “repeatedly” opposed the organization including him in its Young Global Leaders program.
“I rejected their award. I declined it. I said that I deeply disagreed with the values of the World Economic Forum and that I wouldn’t be a good fit for inclusion,” Ramaswamy said in a video statement. “A few months later, I was told that my name showed up on their website anyway. I contacted them. I told them to take it down. They had the gall to still leave my name.”"

And for the record, no, I don't trust ANY politician or political party. I don't support anyone for any office. I think the current system in the USA is broken and that the American people lack the willpower and understanding necessary to "fix" it...

This very informative video landed this American citizen in Ukrainian prison. He is a journalist. He has been tortured, robbed, incarcerated, and otherwise deprived of his liberty by the Ukrainian government. Recently, he posted bail and then tried to file to Hungary to sell political asylum. He failed to cross the border and was recaptured. Currently, his location and condition are unknown.
Will our government do anything to assist him?
Probably not.
