I'm a freedom loving, gun-toting, pro free speech Canadian transwoman. And shitduchess. I'm a Voluntaryist, :ablobminarchist: as well as an ethical and political philosopher. I'm transsex, but I'm really not part of the LGBT community as they hate libertarians. I love technology, and am a unrepentant geek. This account focuses mostly on politics, philosophy and shitposting. LGBT stuff goes on my account on freethinkers.lgbt, linked below. Both my accounts talk about Linux and Tech! Militant Archlinux Zealot :blobinlove: :archlinux: VR Gaming Nerd :blobvr: I own a Pimax 8k X, Index and a Quest 2. If you block me or my instance you are a transphobe. :blobwink: #nobot

I give a co-worker a spare energy drink doesn’t make me a Communist, but my selling some 3d prints doesn’t make me a Capitalist necessarily either – at least not in an ideological sense. Although I most certainly am a Capitalist – my point is more that a single action doesn’t necessarily dictate what I believe because even if I was a Communist, I don’t live in a Communist state so I’d be in practical terms a Capitalist whatever I personally believe in.

Also, in the legends, Jesus feeds the poor using magic, so it sort of invalidates its relationship to economics anyway. If you can summon an unlimited amount of food for free, the dynamics of the marketplace change dramatically. It’s more like Star Trek economics at that point.

Which of course, is probably something he wouldn’t have approved of.

Lot of Israel talk on fedi tonight

OK.

Earlier when I was trying to figure out how I renamed this one network device, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how I did it.

Well I figured it out.

The option ONLY appears on mobile. No wonder I couldn't find it.

:blobwaitwhat:

The Creality V3 SE built, and on its maiden print.

I liked my V2 Neo but this little guy is so much nicer to work on so far. And uh, like way faster. And I can make it go double pretty easily from what I've heard.

I'll see how the first print goes.

My new printer is in Canada and I think it cleared customs? The shipper is weird and oddly Chinese-y for a last-mile courier, so its hard to make sense of their tracking page.

But it should arrive next week, I think, since its just one province over. Looking forward to checking this thing out.

I'm thinking I might convert my existing Ender 3 v2 Neo to focus on obnoxious materials with a hardened steel nozzle and a glass bed.

nostr:npub1j5ddt0wsnj4c8agcy8pry74ec7t8csfecfvn2ygfurthv3pv3z0qq2smxq oh I did end up watching those interviews and the documentary about Brazil the other day.

nostr:npub12sk7hhqs2f3gfth7xlutxgku6tkdkq9myhec9mmlzu4ss4vqmtvqz7mhpz nostr:npub1f8e6w3kg6cptk4ljl09ua3vezr7gws4jcuwyvzdnpytsnlp2yd6savzu5u So how it works really is that you just play the Admiral in the command room, so you can look around, control your ship, do navy things, etc, then in front of you is the main tactical display where you give orders to all the ships, etc.

I don't think this is a game that would give people vr sickness that much, since you really are just standing in front of a map and sometimes looking around or occasionally taking direct control of the ship. Those aren't so bad usually.

3D / mesh / cad software is the bane of my existence, something about it confounds me terribly, and I can never even begin to understand what the interfaces could possibly want from me.

Even something incredibly simple absolutely confuses me, why does literally nothing behave in a way that makes sense? It's all so alien and bizarre, with zero logic or order or reason to any of it that I can detect at all. There are so many buttons, yet, not a single one of them ever does anything I could imagine anyone could ever want to do.

This is the part of 3d printing that rapidly stops being fun.

No, THIS TIME I will exercise self control. Why, only minutes ago I stopped myself from buying a resin printer setup. It was half off, and I still walked away.

nostr:npub1ll3r7gr0u3afx6ap65xsrjphq7pafpyjq6jyfhd5peuq5v69lnzq4p7yhh have a play with short strand carbon fibre reinforced PETG too. That stuff is strong.

nostr:npub1vrvcpqkvwyqwcyqsn0537szd5t9g0n9dyzvglw242c5cqh6em98q7797jm Yeah I've heard that, but for now I don't need anything really tough. Lots of crazy stuff I could do, but I don't want to collect hundreds of dollars of filaments .. so soon

nostr:npub1ll3r7gr0u3afx6ap65xsrjphq7pafpyjq6jyfhd5peuq5v69lnzq4p7yhh there we go.

I think a lot of people confuse them with resin printers. You sure don't want to breathe that crap in.

nostr:npub1vrvcpqkvwyqwcyqsn0537szd5t9g0n9dyzvglw242c5cqh6em98q7797jm I did get a dryer box and some fun colourful ilaments, uh silk pla? Actually I'm already lousy with various PLA so I should start using it lol

I wanted to try some TPU, but I couldn't think of anything I really needed it for yet so I'll get that when I think of something.

nostr:npub1ll3r7gr0u3afx6ap65xsrjphq7pafpyjq6jyfhd5peuq5v69lnzq4p7yhh bah, there ain't no deadly chemicals. Suck it down, who wants to live forever?

nostr:npub1vrvcpqkvwyqwcyqsn0537szd5t9g0n9dyzvglw242c5cqh6em98q7797jm I'll never be able to afford retirement so definitely not me

nostr:npub1vrvcpqkvwyqwcyqsn0537szd5t9g0n9dyzvglw242c5cqh6em98q7797jm I haven't started anything yet lol

Only thing I'm working on right now is a big ol' cup of coffee

I should probably build the table I bought for the printer too, and maybe move it over to its proper home where it won't spray deadly chemicals at me

I love the weekend :blobmeltsoblove:

Went with the Ender 3 v2 neo.

#[0] something happened to them...?
