No, I wouldn't campain in favour of additives shown in reputable studies to cause harm to their consumers.
I don't understand the scare regarding seed oils, most food oils come from seeds anyway (linseed, rapeseed, sunflower seed, and of course the olive seed). Just make sure to look for unrefined/extra virgin/single origin/cold pressed alternatives.
If you really really care about industrial pollution, production of fluoridated water wouldn't be the best place to start. Most manufacturing is made as a byproduct of synthetic fertiliser manufacture, which has small risks associated with pollution from fertiliser runoff (eg. Eutrophication). Alternative methods of production can have more direct risks like handling volatile substances and have less cost effectiveness; chemical processes like these are economically incentivised to prevent waste.
I'd suggest maybe starting with taking action to reduce car exhaust fumes in living environment? There are sure as hell no reputable studies claiming breathing that stuff in is beneficial to your health. Fluoride is only "industrial waste" in the same way that leather is.
Farcaster seems cool, It would be awesome if it took on more of the "client diversity" philosophy from the Ethereum devs because Warpcast sadly doesn't work on my device
I'm campaigning to get the drinking water in my area fluoridated, and I know you are too smart to be spreading baseless FUD about it.
It's possible for some dentists to tell at a glance whether someone grew up in an area with fluoridated water or not. Adds up to millions saved yearly in dental costs for citizens of countries that adopt it fully.
Need to get back into my Cybernat phase
All heuristics are context-dependent
A set of 3 possibe properties for a good ID/naming system to have: security, decentralisation, and human-meaning/memorability. Conjectured that no single system can achieve all 3 by Zooko Wilcox-O'Hearn (just found out they're also one of the creators of Zcash).
eg. Bitcoin/nostr addresses, which are secure and decentralised but rarely memorable or meaningful, and DNS names, which can be secure and meaningful but quite centrally controlled.
Did anyone solve Zooko's triangle yet?
What's another word for Thesaurus?
Happy World Pangolin Day to all
You haven't used nostr if you haven't had to manually connect to a relay and send an ["EVENT", {}] to distribute that one fire note you thought you published.
The only time I amn't woke is when I'm trying to sleep. GN folks
Make love, not babies
When I'm trying to sleep or in the shower, I can think of a million things to post, yet whenever I open nostr, I draw a complete mind blank
I'm the least ideologically sound person I know
But hey, minds are to be changed, right?
I've been trying to set up my own lately, will let you know once I figure it out
Fails to send, no address set up :P
Recently been seeing a load of new Go analysis tools in gopls, really useful stuff! I don't know if it was part of today's 1.24 release or a separate update to gopls, as I've been using the 1.24 release candidates for a bit.
