I driver that route a lot. What a pitty, to let this beautiful hotel rot. When the James Bond movie was shot, you could probably still see the Rhone glacier from there. Now you have to hike quite some distance. Holidays where you drive with a bus from mountain pass to mountain pass used to be a thing, but nowdays nobody does that any more.
