Turns out that if you capture the news media in order to indoctrinate the public, instead of that what actually happens is that the news media collapses because noobdy watches anymore.

While at the same time a good portion of the population are still indoctrinated despite the obvious reality.

That's because you can opt out of news media. Which in turn is why they coopt schools and colleges, out of which you can hardly opt out.
