Great data point. I knew it couldn't be that bad. But has it changed this much?
I lived in the US for 35 years and never was nearby a criminal shooting (plenty of gunshots aimed at pheasants though). That waa 1970 - 2005.
It hasn’t changed much at all, outside of the cities like Chicago (who ironically have very strict gun control).
I have the same experience as powrespecter in my entire life of living in the US across multiple states, some of which are constitutional carry states that require no license to conceal or open carry a firearm.
