I think you are exaggerating the impact of reports. I have been mass reported many times already.. many relays deleted those reports but I still have over 100 reports made against me live on relays. That hasnt changed anything to my followers or my visibility on the public space.

What if you get reported by Jack, Will and fiatjaf would you still be visible to your followers?

I was checking the code and my understanding is that events will be hidden when there are 5 reports by followed users. Is this accurate?
