Police Headquarters New Scotland Yard and frigging security for Parliament is yards away but pickpockets have been allowed to steal, come back, repeat for over a year now. Same thing near The British Museum, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street. Police do nothing. If you’re visiting keep valuables in your front pocket, preferably zipped

I've been seeing a lot of videos of pickpockets in Europe lately. Is this a new thing, or has it been like this for a long time?

it's been like this in certain cities for many, many years

civilian kickbacks are for sure more effective at solving the problem vs passive acceptance / thinking the police would / could solve it

They’re filmed more easily with 360 cameras on sticks now. Police know where they ALL operate but haven’t done anything. Larger covert plan to put people coming to the cities and travelling in general. Most tourist phone theft isn’t reported by tourists, its been shit in London since 2022, feral youth.
