This post breaks down how Primal and two of its devs still follow and boost abandoned meme bot accounts like serioushumour and nostrmeme, both inactive for a long time - while real meme curators get ignored.

Includes follower metrics, reputable stats from npub.world, and a visual comparison. Worth shining a light on if we care about improving onboarding.

Important read. If we’re serious about improving Nostr onboarding and rewarding real contributors, this kind of breakdown matters. Props for backing it up with data and visuals—time to rethink who we’re amplifying.

Humans will be humans and help their friends out

Totally get that. Loyalty’s human, but when it results in abandoned accounts being boosted, it creates a confusing experience for new users. In the long run, that kind of UX hurts everyone - including Primal’s own momentum and Nostr’s broader growth.
