Respectfully - this isn’t about quirky behavior.
Some of us have tracked recurring patterns across multiple burner accounts operated by the same individual: compulsive oversharing, manipulative engagement, persona resets, and a consistent orbit around attention-seeking and evasion.
TheLegendaryMan was just the latest identity. In his own farewell post, he confirmed plans to “reincarnate” under a new name - just like he did after abandoning BitTiger. That’s not eccentricity. It’s reputation laundering.
His venting personas alone displayed unhinged, antisocial behavior - from delusional rants and sexual fixation to erratic fanfics. And more disturbing content (including cartoon CP reposts and DM manipulation) has appeared on other accounts linked by forensic pattern.
The connections aren’t always trivial. But those of us who’ve been in the blast radius have seen the playbook repeat.
This isn’t gatekeeping. It’s cultural hygiene.
Blindly validating anonymous personas without context doesn’t grow NOSTR - it incentivizes abuse and erodes trust. If we care about reputation and sovereignty, the ledger can’t reset every time someone changes npubs.
Pattern recognition isn’t toxicity. It’s the immune system of a decentralized culture.
