Alby seems to do this often during Zapathons. I'm not trying to be a dick here, but maybe we do these events more often to help them stress test.
Yeah, seems like they need it. This also makes me want to write my own CLN zap plugins once and for all (although there are some decent ones out there already) and get away from Alby. No hate on Alby, I just want to be more sovereign.
lnbits has some nice zaps plugins

So, LNBits is in a transition to version 1.0, but I tested all the state of that stuff and it's not ready yet.
So this what seems to work for 0.12.x

You can setup NWC to use your own relay, without using the nostr-client (multiplexer). I tested settings, and they both work, and decided I like the simplicity of single relay and plugin. nostr-client multiplexer *requires lnbits to serve a public relay, which I do not want. I think this is just a code limitation though and could be fixed.
