But it makes sense, because no one is supposed to make "an app on top of Nostr", but "a Nostr client". When people say "on top of Nostr" I immediately think they have decided to abuse relays for passing messages for a proprietary network in a fake p2p network or something like that, and that's not how Nostr was supposed to work and such approaches will not scale or last.
