Why my feed is full of stuff from people I don't follow?

I am actually loading parent notes of replies from people you follow so it adds more context of that reply, but I am considering not loading parent notes at all as your feed might be too intrusive. relay feeds columns is supported now (v0.1.2 last update: 27/02/2025)
Parent notes seems like a good idea. Different clients should be different anyway
Satellite surfaces parent notes that way, too, but it has a notation that "so-and-so replied" to give some context to a note's presence, which is nice. It also invokes curiosity a bit.
I don't dislike that, but I had the impression I saw a standalone note from someone I didn't follow, now I can't reproduce.
