The sound enters your ear through the bone, not the ear canal. Since your ears aren't plugged, you can hear everything around you.

They don't get as loud, but sound quality is pretty decent. Not going to compare to AirPods, but I think they're for another usecase (I have AirPods). These are for when you want to hear, but have background music and be able to talk on the phone, but still be aware of your surroundings. For background tunes, they're solid.

Agree with samecat here. The vibration if turned up loud is a thing but you get used to it
The sound quality is not as good as AirPods or a set of over ear

I’ve been using them for some time now on riding my bike. I can still hear the traffic. Helps to be that bit safer. Also they don’t fall out and get run over by a car. Ask me how I know that 🔥
They take a bit of getting used too but doable
Interested how they would work on the motorcycle with a full helmet (which is tight over the ears).
