Topic variety.

- #Bitcoin talk is everywhere and can get boring fast.

- In fact, tag-muting is a feature I think is very needed.

- There was a lot of talk about onboarding lately - if a user is put in a neat environment from the getgo, it helps a lot if said environment can flourish easily.

- Less spam, more clarity. Primal is doing a great job there nowadays (after quite a... situation... xD), so I think this will help.

Just my spontaneous thoughts o.o

I totally agree on the need for more self-moderation and timeline customisation tools or filters. We recently also chatted about user-enabled algos to create, for example, a "family friendly" timeline with a single click or, like you mentioned, hide specific tags or topics.

Of course we can already customise our feeds thanks to projects like listr but that's power user stuff way beyond the horizon of a new nostrich user who's coming over from legacy social media. Perhaps some apps could consider adding certain predefined (and editable lists) in the account creation process allowing new users to customise their feed from the get go and then already feed them content of their interest to their timeline.

If we're honest.. the average nostr experience for a new person is pretty mediocre until the start adding contacts to their profile. So by allowing content select grouped in lists (foodstr, artstr, gamestr, footstr, burgerstr etc) the might be receiving a better first impression from the beginning?
