yes I reluctantly enabled https ... it's only encrypted from the browser to cloudflare though... apparently http is illegal in 2022

I mean.. is there really a reason to serve anything over http these days? I get that it's technically not necessary for a profile picture but still

not everything needs encryption... http is much faster to load

It's pretty surreal has fast plain sockets feels. Surfing gopher is a pleasant experience.
