Was watching Vivek Ramaswamy's take on Russia - China in his talk with Cuomo. It seems like this time, the presidential election is centered around the policies related to Russia. His take is that once the Russia - Ukraine war ends, he wants to severe ties between Russia and China, and remain foe with China. He also believes in backing Taiwan, until, US is self sufficient in its semiconductor production.

There are a few things I don't see eye to eye.

1. Russia - China tie is not a flimsy relationship. It was rough many decades ago due to the differences in communism ideology but it has progressed over time Their ultimate goal is to remove dependency on the US currency. Brics now has 30% of global share, backed by largest global industries. Russia wont severe it's ties just because US wants to be friends again.

The best neutralising factor for all globally will be Bitcoin

2. To say that US would only back Taiwan until they are semicon self sufficient is rather mean and self centered, albeit the honest truth. But having said that, tech progresses forward. Semiconductor industries outsourced to Asia for over 20+ years for cost-effective solutions while the US maintained high-tech innovation. Supply shortage post Covid was hell for everyone but rebuilding fab empires and retraining workers would require a significant long-term investment, resulting in higher product costs

The question is, whats next for the US and how is US moving towards that

John Chambers, Cisco's Chairman Emeritus, discussed unions in 'Connecting the Dots.' He emphasized worker rights and wages. But sometimes, you can't hold on to jobs as tech changes with time, and if you do not progress with tech, the state of economy gets left behind.

I love the confidence he exudes but for both these topics, RFK makes better arguments. He has been consistent on establishing and maintaining global peace. Not because US needs silicon chips etc - but for the benefit of everybody globally. Its win win. And he has been open is exploring capital growth and tech progression. Added to that, he understands the importance of Bitcoin.

Its interesting to see the debates unfold. I just hope it won't be a Biden-Trump rerun. I like that Vivek is open about who actually runs the United States. Both left and right are openly talking about this.

RFK - Vivek would be interesting to watch.

Both China and Russia are on the verge of demographic collapse. Their workforce, including their military, is ageing out quickly, and there are vastly too few young people to replace them. This will cause China's current economic collapse to worsen for decades. It will also deplete their military to the point of ineffectiveness. They have less than a decade before their military and economic power are irrelevant. And that means they are desperate.

Russia is facing similar military and economic collapse. They have a military that they cannot sustain because there are far too few young soldiers to replace those who are retiring (or being killed). Thus their ability to defend their already indefensible borders will only decrease; leaving them impossibly vulnerable. Like China, they likely have less than a decade.

The war in Ukraine has exposed the weaknesss of the Russian military in ways that nobody expected. The curtain has been pulled back, and the guy behind it doesn't look much like the great and terrible OZ.

Vivek is a smart kid; but his youth is a big problem. He is NOT going to waltz into Russia and convince Putin to break ties with China. I mean, what IS he smoking?

RFK is an interesting character; but the DNC won't allow him to run. They'll break any rule or law to ensure his candidacy comes to naught.

It's not clear to me what the democrats are going to do about Joe -- and especially about Kamala. If they could talk Michelle into running I think they'd happily push Joe off a cliff; but I don't think Michelle is going to take the bait. Newsome? After running California into the ground I don't think he'd be likely to win against his dog -- if he has one. Whitmer? She has a greater ability to induce cringe than Hillary does. Eeewwww!

I think the democrats are in a box (of their own making) and will simply have to hope and pray that Trump is the GOP nominee and that Joe stays alive for another six years. They care about Joe's pulse and couldn't care less about his brain.

Will Trump be the nominee? Frankly, I think everything turns on that boolean variable. If yes, the democrats win. If not, they lose.

lol yea - Vivek and Trump both have an oversimplified Russian solution, but somehow its their simplicity that appeals to the mass public. Trump's economic policies were decent, but his political identity was too extreme right. And he has to increase vocab. What do you think of Nikki Halle ? I think DeSantis might be a safe bet for most people no?

Biden is probably a standing example of someone else running the show. Its impossible to imagine global strategic decisions made by him at the current state. Does Kamala have substance ? She gives an extreme left vibe but she plays her cards well. I remember watching how she was pissing on Biden during the early days. Most of them feel extreme left. I don't think i paid enough attention to Michelle's political takes

RFK seems sensible and knowledgeable in that sense, has a bit of hot takes here and there. He appeals to both left and right. But I think he needs to up the ante on his leadership identity. Why do you think DNC would bring him down ? I think so too. I have a theory that CIA follows capitalism and post Nixon, its been with the DNC.

Another common argument point between right and left has been merits vs AA. Both sides argue on equality and unfortunately equality is a political tool. One who has a balance to this will have a better appeal to the masses as well.

What do you think of Andrew Cuomo and why do you think he was kicked out of politics?

> Trump's economic policies were decent, but his political identity was too extreme right.

Which is odd, because his ideology is not very right wing at all.

>What do you think of Nikki Halle ?

I'd happily vote for her. I think she'd make a fine president.

>I think DeSantis might be a safe bet for most people no?

I'd happily vote for DeSantis. I'm not sure whether I prefer him to Haley or not.

> Does Kamala have substance ?

No. She's completely out of her depth. She's got no business being anywhere near _any_ position she has held. She's the perfect example of "Failing Upward".

> I don't think i paid enough attention to Michelle's political takes

Michelle was, I think, the person who encouraged Barack's lefward lurches.

> RFK seems sensible and knowledgeable in that sense, has a bit of hot takes here and there.

Agreed on both counts.

>He appeals to both left and right.

He says things that both sides tepidly agree with. His real enemies are the fiscal conservatives, the neo-cons and the progressives.

>But I think he needs to up the ante on his leadership identity.

That's tough to do just after asserting that wifi is a health hazard.

>Why do you think DNC would bring him down ?

The DNC is owned by the progressives. The progressives hate RFK. He would interfere with their plan to tear everything down in order to build their left-wing "Utopia".

>I have a theory that CIA follows capitalism and post Nixon, its been with the DNC.

Not just the CIA. We've seen the DOJ, the FBI, the IRS, and the ATF all captured, to one degree or another, by the progressive agenda. It's not good.

> Another common argument point between right and left has been merits vs AA. Both sides argue on equality and unfortunately equality is a political tool.

One side argues for equality of opportunity, the other side argues for equality of outcomes (equity). The latter is poison. It results terrible racist policies.

> What do you think of Andrew Cuomo and why do you think he was kicked out of politics?

He was an embarassing loudmouth. His covid broadcasts made him a threat to the inner circle. His lethal covid policies, and his lack of (shall we say) decorum, gave them the opportunity to squash him like a bug. IMHO.
