I'm sure many people came to this conclusion before Saylor made this phrase a meme. I know I did.

is it still a narrative for those people?

A narrative is any shared story or idea. So yes, it is still the narrative that you and I believe.

Every movement or cohesive group needs a narrative, some shared story, an ethos.

Everyone has but they do not need

Not individuals. But groups, movements, political parties, religions, hell, even Bitcoiners have a narrative. It is a need. The collective dissolves entirely without it.

Does it dissolve or does it transcend?

It dissolves. Disparate peoples need a common thread to bind them, or they will be at odds with eachother

Isn't our caveman alike need for tribalism amazing? It's also the biggest driver behind division.

It's also the biggest driver behind multiplication.

That's why we still have it. People without enough of it don't successfully mate.

Even marriages and families need this.
