Good blog by nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl 👍

Nostr needs more content creators in general from bloggers to musicians to streamers. The audience is already here what we need is more diverse content appealing to a broader spectrum of users and their likes / prefernces.

For example, I stream gaming and I totally get it that my content isn't for everyone. It's for gamers and people who like to watch streams, chat and hang out with each other. Now, if someone comes into my stream but my content isn't for that person they'll naturally bounce from my channel and then... don't find much other content to watch so they bounce from the site entirely.

In other words, the discoverability is there, the demand is there, the creators aren't.

I wish Yakihonne was FOSS, it is so incredibly pretty. Have been meaning to set up #Servus for my own blogging needs but havent gotten around it yet x)

I have some stories to tell, for sure... o.o

Do comedians count?

What about snobby, snide Europeans? I feel like we need more of us to be out-and-proud, so that new arrivals know that they are also welcome here.

You need to start streaming immediately!

😄 Watch me play with Nostrudel, live.

I'm glad I know nostrudel is a NOSTR platform 😂

OMG 🤣

Catholic tech podcast

noStrudel is like THR business in a box for a content creator who wants to catch foot on nostr. Imo anyway

I am a sucker for a nice GUI though

I hear you though I think it's decent for a desktop client. Better than nostr's dark side with it's wannabe X clone and their custodian API wallet.

Are you perhaps referring to the client I'm using right now 😂

I mostly use Primal on desktop, cos of it's nice GUI, but it frequently breaks.

and Damus on iPhone, cos it always works.

Primal has the best npub search and a couple of other things, so I keep dragging myself back to their web app for specific things.

That's why I have Freerse on my phone. It's fast and better than Primal Android.

There are many things that I can only do on Nostrudel.

Even more important than appealing to new consumers is appealing to new producers. Everyone who occupies some app-space or topic-space or activity-space is showing newer arrivals that These Are Things You Can Do Here.

It's like a live advertisement of the possibilities, and they can then ask the People Already Doing This how to best go about joining in.

So newer streamers and can ask Grinder how to get started and which apps are best and etc. The barrier to information is much lower when speaking to colleagues, than when speaking to the app developer or just shouting into the void. Besides, sometimes the app developers aren't actually heavy users of that particular app. They built it for other people to use and those other people are Power Users and they're actually the usability experts on the app.

I was just thinking about all of this when working on the dev list. I found all of these apps for all sorts of things, but if you go to those apps, they're often basically empty of users. It's difficult to even figure out what the app is supposed to do, sometimes.

that's why we need "nostr for content creators" but, I'm very lazy atm.

I agree 100% but it appears that some content creators don't see the advantage of producing content on a network which does have consumers but lacks creators. At least "trying" nostr should be a no-brainer for anyone serious about their blogging, streaming or music.

Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst.

"Don't bother telling me that AI makes human writing obsolete. It rather makes it a more-exclusive endeavor, by reducing the scope of the content to something more reflective of the person writing."

This is similar to my own thinking, human writing will become more niche but in turn can make it more interesting. You've probably seen enough by now to tell that both I can't write particularly fluidly and have very niche interests but these are areas AI doesn't find interesting, it wants to find the mean, what the average human likes. It is Ed Sheeran.

I'm going to stream some niche human stuff today. I will enjoy myself.

Humans are fascinated by other humans and the things they do; we're social animals. Human creations are a way of incorporating human effort. Humans place a premium on that.

The best way to grow nostr IMO is to create a culture that enables commerce with zaps as much as possible.

Zaps are so unique and will pique the interests of others since most market dynamics are driven by envy rather than greed. We would ultimately get a product-marketing of nostr creators who are free from advertiser priorities, the like/view button performance and theatrics, as well as the machines that silo their data and following.

The stuff that comes after, like the privacy and the other feature sets of nostr will secure staying power and develop a moat. This moat is the thing that influences competitive social platforms like X or possibly even Threads.

I myself will be subscribing to this thought process once I get some financial outcomes in order. I'm looking forward to investing in the growth of nostr creators.
