"Apolitical" people are a high-risk category. A lot of people seem to want to go through the world without some baseline ideological framework for politics. This is a mistake.
These people will inevitably encounter world events that they will struggle to understand, they will then reach for some ideological framework to understand it, at which point (in America) they tend to become captured by either the center-left MSM paradigm, or some blend of contemporary MAGAism.
The answer is, just like kids need vaccines, education at an early stage *not* to indoctrinate people into one particular worldview, but to make sure that they have the foundational tools of critical thinking, reason, and moral theory to at least *develop* a framework for politics.
