Everyone deserves decentralized and censorship resistant social communication. Yes, even the Cryptocurrency lovers that you don't like. I want them to build their own Nostr client with NFT support via Nostr badges and a Nostr marketplace. Why? It's much better than the centralized Discord servers and Twitter communities that they use now. And, most importantly, it allows them to see the beauty of Zaps and slowly orange pill them over time. You don't have to use their relays or clients. I know I won't use them. However, we should be happy that they're able to build whatever they want on top of a truly open protocol. 🫂

I was not as bad as one can imagine. There were a few projects that I found interesting and followed regularly. But the Nostr effect…. Nostr brings a degree of programmability to LN/Bitcoin. It showed me a path towards a blockchainless decentralization, using the only « money » I trusted.
I saw tokens as a share of a distributed company, not money that you use. We were trying to build towards decentralized education… I think nostr is a much better fit. I am trying to bring them here, especially the devs.

today is … and you’re still not on Nostr. No premine, no PoS, no IDOs… just code and value for value.
Altcoins are counterfeit. Bitcoin requires proof of work. Everyone plays by the same rules. Printing your own money costs nothing. Premine, sell a portion of it, pay VCs and marketing agencies to promote it.
They're very detrimental to Bitcoin as normies are not sufficiently informed to know the difference and Bitcoin is tainted by association. Anyone enabling this negative feedback loop of fraud and grift is standing in the way of the only chance we'll ever have to fix money.

I tried a few times in the past, never got hooked even if I was really curious. I think I am not detail oriented enough.
I have my experience in media production (music and film) and education, all fields I wish to reconnect to after a hiatus.
I can think conceptually and comunicate about them in relation to Nostr and be part of the hive mind I think.
That's what you need to do with your thoughts and interest, but the question is whether Nostr accepts other currencies than bitcoin
Right now, I'll say no. But that's only because no one has built it. Since nostr is an open protocol, anyone can build anything and accept any form of currency.
