Trying to find the easiest way for customers to pay me in bitcoin. I offer 25% off when paying with crypto. I have one customer who bought on Kraken and is having trouble. Seems like funds aren’t immediately available. Would it make it easier to go through something like Strike to send payment via lightning?

I received payment recently through nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 So easy. I recommend it.

Yes, but kraken will work, just has 10min block time, and they will put all their transactions in one block.

My 2 cents they pay in ₿ they are trusted until they prove they are not.

Cash and strike have LN withdrawals. Will be much easier.

You should consider adding a fiat surcharge instead of giving a bitcoin discount. Fiat txs cost you more and don’t settle immediately.

Yes, with strike they can pay directly from the cash USD balance in Strike to a lightning invoice. They don’t even need to buy the bitcoin first. They pay USD, you receive sats.

Kraken has lightning

I’m wondering if the guy needs a little training.

You must have sick margins if you’re offering a 25% discount! But yeah I think strike would be easiest if the ticket price is low enough because I think they have limits on how much you can buy and send at a time.

I’ve been offering a 5% discount for the last 2 years and no one has taken me up on it. For right now I’m just accepting the fact that bitcoin adoption is not there yet.

Yeah it’s a pretty generous discount but it helps educate people about BTC and in the long run the total value I gain ends up being more than the standard dollar rate.
