La conveniencia por encima de la seguridad otra vez. La mayoría de la gente nunca aprenderá.
La experiencia cuesta plata perdida decía un amigo.
Pero si usas lightning para zaps en nostr y para alguna tonteria mas ,
no es necesario pagar el precio de la custodia
que significa gestionar un nodo bitcoin+lightning +el server todo el dia funcionando.
Yo lo he hecho, me cerraron canales, se cortaba la luz, el otro nodo del canal no estaba online...
Mil motivos para que mi wallet lightning no funcione
Uso minibits para los zaps y phoenix (fee altas) para minipagos , y listo...
No necesito custodiar mas que eso
No culpemos a la gente por usar lo que conviene 👍
I'm currently using several, I still use WoS for sending zaps, mainly because it just worked out like that. I've got a zeus node, a channel open via phoenix and I still have sats in my alby wallet.
Yeah, self custody vs custodial is less important for Lightning. It shouldn't be where you store your life savings anyway, so whether you get rugged shouldn't be a major hit to your financial wellbeing.
And I say that as someone who uses his own node for 99% of his Lightning transactions.
