Had a bite to eat at Baile Cask & Kettle today in Hagerstown, MD.

It’s been open for one week and it’s beautiful inside!

Talked with the bartender & owner, they said they’d love to have a Nostr meetup there and that the place holds 200.

Plenty of room for a Nostr meetup!

Several parking garages nearby, a beautiful city park and Washington County Museum of Fine Arts a couple blocks down the street.

Based on the success of Nostr Valley, I’d say we should do it again here in Hagerstown, MD!

I don’t have a date in mind, but I figured it would easily work for a meetup.

It’s open til 10 weekdays and they’ll stay open til midnight on Friday & Saturday if they get a decent crowd.

They’ve got several great beers on tap and the bartender is also the brewmaster.

The back half of the establishment is the bar area and we wouldn’t even need to pay to reserve it.

There are plenty of hotels and inexpensive airbnbs around the area too.

I don’t know the first things about organizing something like this but I couldn’t help but think of how easy it would be to do another Nostr Valley at this place. Plus I got to start explaining Nostr to the owner, who was intrigued, she’s actually the mother of the bartender. Really decent folks.

You should just plan a whole separate event. Then it could be focused on whatever aspect of Nostr you want.

I'm usually in that area a few times a year, would love to stop in sometime.
