I think the doc is correct on this one.

Opioids encompasses both natural (opiates) and synthetic drugs. Opiates are natural opioids.

I think this is just hair splitting though. Synthetic opioids appear to lead the crisis, probably due to changes that make them more addictive and/or harmful.

That was my point. Using opioid as opiate is not the same thing. A doctor knows that. Opium opiate opioid are different words because they mean different things. Red and blue are both colors. Just because they’re both colors it does not make them the same thing. Honestly regret opening that can of words but me and “doc” are best pals it’s all good

Opiates are part of the class of drugs known as opiods. So when you say that “All opiods are man made”, you’re wrong.
