Good question. I had issues with this too when I first joined #Nostr the other day. I’m waiting on an invite from #Alby. I got started with #Damus and used the built in lightning wallet in #Primal when I accessed Nostr from there. What I did in Primal carried over to Damus. For me, that was the easiest way to get up and running with lightning.
I did the same before Damus’s first aid kit ⛑️
But I was able to zap ⚡️ from my primal wallet. When I receive zap ⚡️ I receive through alby. I don’t like alby because useless wallet beside Damus app.
I’m sure there is a way to change that. But my technical knowledge ends here. I don’t have Alby but I cannot imagine there wouldn’t be a way to change the wallet you’re using to send and receive zaps 🤔
In the LN section you can add any LN wallet address, also in Damus there is a list of wallets that it supports, you should read in configuration, 🙋🏻♀️

I started with Nostr via Damus, then it started to give me problems, very slow, and I changed to Primal, it is much better (but there are also more clients to choose from) if you choose Primal directly in the edit profile section bitcoin LN Address, leave your wallet address and that's it. I hope it helps you.
I don't use alby because I don't like it 🥳🥳🥳🥳
I love primal but I was having uploading issues when I try to upload pictures. It is deal breaker for me. That is why I came back to Damus where I started. That’s why I’m trying to fix my preferred wallet connection
