Please can someone explain to me like I'm 5 why an individual would opt to buy MSTR stock over purchasing #Bitcoin? It makes sense for a corporation or institutional investor to do it that way, but for an individual? I am failing to see the logic behind it. #asknostr

It’s a traders game. bitcoin will always pump due to scarcity. Companies that invest in bitcoin will ride these pumps as well as the pumps in products these companies sell. I’m gonna try explaining picture a surfer (Bitcoin holder) in the water waiting for the perfect wave (waves in this case would be stocks) and the Shore your ideal financial situation. Now as the surfer you could either sit still and wait and eventually make it to shore or grab a wave and get there faster or wipe out if you follow anyway I tired cheers 🫂💜🫡
Liked the surfer analogy and makes sense for an amateur surfer like me too 😁 So in essence you are saying that the hope is that MSTR pumps hard in the short term thus allowing the investor to bag some quick short term fiat gains?

In general is "safer" (legally speaking) to OWN shares than to HAVE btc in an exchange. And if you do selfcustody, then the shares gives you better liquidity.
In summary with MSTR you ate exposed to btc price without leaving the confort and safety of the fiat systen.
Obviously, it has also important downwards but i guess the reason to buy MSTR is that
