My brother in law reckons that the value of his house has increased by 150k.
Should I tell him?

Just ask him how much it went up in price in terms of gold or sats
he wouldn't comprehend. Dude earns a ton of money every month and lives on debt.
I don't understand why people don't understand this
Because he was brought up differently and lives in a different world.
If he loses his job tomorrow he literally doesn't own anything. Not even the house. But hey, makes almost 15k/month.
Maybe his paycheck increased with inflation and he might not get it.
Tell him what?
That the house is still worth the same but the money is worth less
I see. Seems important to tell him
Not actually worth the same...
Sure the house "is the same" but materials get used in time, so there is a "devaluing factor" for the construction itself by being physical. Newer better standard built ones will cost more on the same land
I did this kind of discussion with friends without bringing up Bitcoin.
I used simple goods like meat and fish prices. To get them at the " it gives me the SAME amonth of meat as 10years ago"( more or less it depends)
only then I extend to " and imagine gold was "the money" for everyone on the planet before Chris for housands of years...is it up in gold?"
" So you are a hold bug?!"
-Nah, I'm a bitcoiner.
(At this point the ones that was able to go mentally through the discussion path "😱 hous got cheaper for you")
Most of them change minds. Started to compare things instead of *valuing" them.
will he understand, listen, or hear?
let him enjoy this win 😅
Can't save him
