In a society that 40% of the population works for the rake, how could we every cut government spending without raising unemployment and why would 40% of the population ever vote for that?

Bigger government and more debt spending is the only path, guaranteed.

It can only implode, unfortunately. Same with welfare payments.

Sadly, this seems to be the core flaw of Western democracies.

So they can start adding actual value to the economy. Last time I checked we are short trash collectors.
