Learning must start in the family. Parents, you must demonstrate to your children your own love for learning. Show them how much you love computers, Bitcoin, nature, food, culture, and everything else that fascinates you. It will only be natural that they too will want to learn and explore.

Likewise, whether you choose to homeschool or to send your children to an external school, parents must continue to stay involved in the learning process. Don't just ask if there's homework to be done. Ask your kids what they learned today. Ask them to explain this or that concept to you. Help them to develop good study habits and to get organized. Show them where to find the resources they need. As needed, hire tutors.

We can't simply dump the educational responsibility on a homeschool curriculum or a school system. Learning starts and must continue in the home.
