I'm slowly trying to learn Italian and the word "Che" is probably the hardest thing so far for me wrap my mind around. Sure, verb conjugation may be odd... but the single word Che is another animal altogether...

What, how, and that are seperate concepts and words in English and Italian... yet Che is all of them too. Why?! How?!

Someday I will understand properly.

Che is mostly that. The things that you like. Every time that something happens. Another thing that we have. All those that are translated with che. I bet the pronunciation issue had to do with the open vocals. It takes a decade to learn the sound of another language because they are at a deeper level compared to grammar and words.

The sounds are the easy part, imo. 7 vowel sounds versus English 21, roughly.

The actual concept that the word is supposed to represent is hard to find in an equivalent English word/concept

Languages shape mindset. You need to fully switch thinking in Italian to grab it. Watch cartoons. They will never teach useful stuff in adult content. I learned more with kids cartoon than any advanced course
