when i look at the world through my phone, everything appears to be collapsing

when i actually just go outside and live life, everything is great, food is cheap, streets are clean, never run into any crime

so which one is it?

Both. Unfortunately the things you see on x are real and they are happening, but life is also beautiful and most people are kind/decent humans.

Do you both think that this is because people feel more comfortable to share their struggles online vs in person?

No I think it’s because thing can be happening nationally or globally but not locally
