I don't know much about it, that's on me and time constraints, but nostr:nprofile1qqsd6ejdteqpvse63ntf7qz6u9yqspp4z7ymt8094urzwm0x2ceaxxgprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qguwaehxw309a6xsetrd96xzer9dshxummnw3erztnrdakj7tda7nt nostr:nprofile1qqsdcnxssmxheed3sv4d7n7azggj3xyq6tr799dukrngfsq6emnhcpspzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qguwaehxw309a6xsetrd96xzer9dshxummnw3erztnrdakj7r43ctl and others are working on a solution that could fill this need.
Discussion
Yeah, of course. That's the Defoe version of #Alexandria, after Gutenberg and Euler.
For now, the books are just published as events, but all of the book club and scheduled reading and etc. stuff is coming later. We're doing the scientific research paper stuff like annotations and citations and LaTeX publishing first.
There are actually three implementations of the e-reader events: Alexandria from us at nostr:npub1s3ht77dq4zqnya8vjun5jp3p44pr794ru36d0ltxu65chljw8xjqd975wz, Chachi from nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg, and the Flutter library from nostr:npub149p5act9a5qm9p47elp8w8h3wpwn2d7s2xecw2ygnrxqp4wgsklq9g722q. The fourth is coming #thoon. We're working on an HTTP API for relays that allows the events to be read on e-paper, like a Kindle.
Here is nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc's book, 21 Lessons, over plain-ole websockets.

I use Alexandria to publish my blog, so you can see what I've written about it, here.

Working on rendering 30040s on web too:
Will start with a simple site for my own #ZaplabDesign documentation, that just points to one 30040 event on my relay(s).
Yeah, it's a nice sort of folder for project docs.
I'm not dev enough (yet) to truly understand the needs of the docs use case, beside my own.
If I look at nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr's docs:
https://hzrd149.github.io/applesauce/typedoc/modules/applesauce_accounts.html
I don't know how to provide those "tag" and wiki-like features yet.
The difference to GoodReads is that you can refer to books elsewhere, with Alexandria, but we're also going to me mass-migrating all of the open-source libraries from Harvard and Cambridge, and etc. onto the relays. So, those books and scientific papers will reside on Nostr, directly.
Should be a few million publications, once we're done, and then people can upload more themselves. We're working on changing the reading direction to allow for other languages. Not everything is top-to-bottom/left-to-right, after all, like manga.
