Global is ridiculous. I currently have the global feed set to the welcome wine relay, which only shows posts made from new accounts, I think it's up to a week old. Which is obviously not great for finding people with older accounts who may be interesting. And even then it's full of spam

global is fine for me and i use 30 relays, amethyst filters spam well with a large follow list

there is a basic theory to nostr, reason it is successful, a first principles

distributed and filters

if it follows that in all aspects it succeeds

Ah, Ive switched off amethyst filtering. Cos I think it uses reports from people you follow to hide those people from you. Not sure if this 'adopted blocklist' is still a thing, but it definitely used to be.

it still filters spam with filtering turned off.. the mysteries of amethysts coding, i should read it more

Ah I see. Yep, I have no idea tbh

Out of curiosity, how often are you looking at global?

used to use it solely, usually a few times a day if not more

Relay is welcome.nostr.wine

+ Setting global to only showing you from that relay. Just FYI.

Although maybe you don't want to do that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

relying on one relay like that is not nostr

I have more relays but they are muted for global except for that one, I only at global about once every month. I'm pretty much wanting a v similar reddit-style or community feed as mentioned in this thread

So even my Following feed / twitter style isnt really what I'm after, never mind global

Dam! Which client do you use?

most dont filter spam well, i think he uses https://nostrudel.ninja
