Anyone here using GiffGaff as a mobile phone provider? What’s the vibe?
Also, if they’re shite. Anyone got good recommendations? Vodafone is a very strong, hard no!
Dealing with this today and I trust my Nostr peeps more than any online stuff.
Been using Giffgaff for the past 11 years. Is just convenient and easy, personally. What is it exactly you'd be looking for?
Pretty much what you say. Just basic use and a decent amount of data. I was with o2 for years then mistakenly switched to Vodafone, thinking it would make life easier combining phone and broadband, turned into a nightmare!
That's your place to go then. I don't do contracts hence GiffGaff is just ideal. You buy your goodybag for whatever amount of data you want a month (and they always give you some more for free if you run out), and you can make it reoccurring and forget about it, or renew yourself every month (for example if you decide you need more or less data than the initial plan). For roaming it isn't the most generous, however. EU I believe is 5GB, but can always add credit should you want it.
Missed to say, you can do contract with them if you're interested I believe, sorry hahaha I just gave my answer on my own experience.
No problem, I appreciate the response! I’ve had a tonne of replies on the Fedi and only one negative experience and that was from someone who travels a lot, at most I only ever do a handful of trips for work each year so GiffGaff looks like a winner.
They use the O2 network. I don’t think they include any roaming if you’re needing that.
They give 5gb in data included for roaming. Most my trips abroad are pretty short and I don't mind getting extra for a trip. Yeah they use o2, who I was with for years and didn't really have any issue with.
