Spending any amount of time on fb is getting to be a worse & worse experience, not just because I'm biased. It just is. My feed today was: ad, suggested group, suggested page, ad, group, suggested group, suggested event, page I follow, ad, finally a post from someone I know... followed by another suggested group πŸ™„ (not kidding)

Marketplace is a hot mess overrun by used car dealers and it really shouldn't take 20 minutes to list an item because the app keeps freezing. Don't know why I even try. (If anyone US based is interested in women's jeans, let's talk. I've got 8 pairs I want gone πŸ˜‚)

Then there's this:

#m=image%2Fjpeg&dim=1920x1080&blurhash=iGP%3FzQ8%7DxbotbXxuofxsx%4000xus%3BM%7BV%5Df8xtoxR%25_K%3FaRjRRxbM%7BxuNGV%5B4VD*M%7B%25M-%3AWAWBWBodt8IVt8tQWBt7M%7BazWB&x=727e829b318448d3e9e0ee1a748bd08199ccfbe166a22af22bb51feeb49ed310

πŸ˜‚they're on to me... throttled back to nothing this time.

I'm just lamenting here as moral encouragement about where nostr is right now. And I figure it may be more appreciated here than by the people who have made a hobby of complaining about fb on fb. 😊

I feel you. Groups are about the only worthwhile thing left to interact with real people.

It true. As a user/usee, fb groups are still great. Even there, though, fb falls down. I totally understand why they want to appease groups, but it seems they are taking a terrible angle on it. Rather than encouraging users to join more groups, it would make more sense to try to get them to engage with groups they are already in.
