I have been using Brave but occasionally I jump over to Google to search for a news article. For whatever reason Brave doesnt seem to give me the same quality results for news links.

Brave started out okay, but has gotten worse; to the point where people are moving away from using it. DuckDuckGo, which appears to be a proxy for Bing, has been excellent until 2-3 weeks ago. Now I have to go to second and third page search results to find sites/info that aren't mega-corporations. I'm prepared to go back to using multiple search engines like it's 1998 all over again. 😜
I felt like Duck Duck Go was no bueno when I saw that they had a tv commercial.
If you denounce everyone that succeeds, you will surround yourself with losers.
Very wise.
I dont denounce success. I thought I remembered reading something about Duck Duck Go not being as private as they claimed...the commercial came shortly after so I figured it was true.
DDG is still not selling info or anything nefarious?
I've seen a couple of smear campaigns against DDG, and a quick investigation has debunked them all. I can't say with certanty that they don't sell info, but they're also not using my microphone, camera, keyboard input, location data, etc, constantly like Google (potentially) is.
So, even if they do sell my search data, that is all they are holding. If I want to get more secure about that, I just need to use DDG in a private tab, or use Tor Browser.
